Lines and wrinkles are extremely common signs of ageing and our treatments can reduce frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, smokers lines, sad mouths, pebble chins and more.
Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to treat all common signs of ageing. As the body gets older, the natural production of collagen and elastin slows, which can lead to diminished volume and wrinkles.
Anti-wrinkle treatments work to replenish lost volume and plump out areas where lines have appeared. This treatment can also help to naturally boost collagen production in the skin, to help keep your appearance youthful for longer.
Before getting started with any anti-wrinkle treatments, Laura will conduct a full consultation. During this consultation, she will get to know your current skin concerns and what you hope to achieve from treatment. From here, a tailored anti-wrinkle treatment will be designed just for you.
Depending on the areas being treated, treatment typically takes between 15 and 30 minutes. Many clients are concerned if anti-wrinkle injections are painful, but in the right hands, treatment should be relatively pain free. Some patients experience mild burning or tingling, and these sensations are completely normal.
After anti-wrinkle treatment, you can return to work or resume normal duties immediately. There is no lengthy recovery time and most customers only experience small bumps in the area which usually subside after 30 minutes. There is a risk of minor bruising at the injection site, so we recommend planning treatments at least four weeks ahead of any special events. Depending on the area and your skin type, anti-wrinkle treatments can last anywhere between three to five months.
Following treatment, we recommend waiting 12 hours before drinking alcohol, going to the gym, or flying, to give your body the opportunity to fully recover. It is best to gently exercise the treatment area afterwards, by squinting, lifting the eyebrows, smiling, or frowning. Be careful not to rub the area as this can spread the product and cause complications.
