By creating miniscule wounds on the skin’s surface, the body is triggered with a healing response which naturally renews skin cells. As the skin works to repair itself, collagen and elastin production is boosted, creating an immediate plumping and firming effect. Microneedling can be achieved with a microneedling pen or a dermaroller and both methods are often combined with skincare solutions to enhance the results.

Unlike home microneedling, our devices can penetrate deeper in the skin tissue and offer improved results in the safety of our clinic. We provide a topical numbing cream during the treatment to reduce the micro needling sensation. Some clients find microneedling to be completely pain free, while others notice small discomforts during treatment.
The results from microneedling can usually be seen as soon as the skin has fully healed. Immediately after microneedling treatment, the area will be flushed and red. Some patients feel sensitivity and tightness while the skin cells heal.
A few hours after treatment most redness will have subsided and after 48 hours, skin will be healed. The results of microneedling are visible quickly, but the best results appear six to eight weeks after treatment. This is because the skin needs time to recover and benefit from the increased production of collagen and elastin. Results can last up to one year and we recommend a course of three sessions at six week intervals for best results.
